NEWSLETTER ARCHIVES

Newsletter ArchivesCAMMMO.org knows that your time is valuable. We also know that the number of instances in which the U.S. military is not fulfilling its promise to the people is overwhelming, even on a daily basis. That’s why our free newsletter is a once monthly publication that can be read in less than 2 minutes from start to finish. We choose 3 stories per month to highlight the concerns we have about U.S. military deceptive marketing, advertising and recruiting practices; and deliver them to you in a quick and easy manner that doesn’t require too much of your time. We also archive our newsletters, starting with January 2009, right here on the website. Click on the link below to access our archive library.

STOP LOSS POLICY

Soldier TrainingStop-loss, in the United States military, is the involuntary extension of a service member's active duty service under the enlistment contract in order to retain them beyond their initial end of term of service (ETS) date. It also applies to the ceasing of a permanent change of station (PCS) move for a member still in military service. Stop-loss was used immediately before and during the first Persian Gulf War. Since then, it has been used during American military deployments to Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia and Kosovo during the 1990s and after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and the subsequent War on Terror.
